“Réalité”, new EP by Grand Soleil engages the duo transition toward a rawer universe.
Symbol of a growing anxiety about our world’s state and how men hurt it, “Réalité” questions without any detour our society’s doubts when looking at the future. Through a sound inspired by the 90’s pop culture and their unconditional love for electronic music, Grand Soleil sails between a romantic French Touch and a rougher sound closer to techno, echoing our society’s challenges.

“Grand Soleil is kind of a quiz for people who listen to us, through the tracks one can hear Saga and Gameboy sounds, references to The Terminator or Sonic and much more…”

A music definitely electronic, that the two brothers made organic thanks to discoveries and crushes (Daft Punk, Fatboy Slim, Siriusmo…) without taking a single music class. Educated by the internet, the duo look at the world face to face, and their music translate a look blending hope and melancholia.
Reality may seems dark, but Drich and Pach don’t hesitate to put color sparkles in it, like glances of a saving hope they create with their head stuck in the speakers.

Grand Soleil are two brothers. Pach comes from a hip hop background and Drich is more into techno. Their tastes in music may be different, their unique rule it to make people dance and travel.

They grew up in the 90s pop culture nourished by science fiction throughout movies and cartoons.
